This sleek black bird, known as the Lady, is sought by goverments all over the world, but is hidden out in the Valley of the Gods by her pilot Stringfellow Hawke. Together, Dominic Santini and Stringfellow Hawke fly Airwolf at speeds rivaling the fastest jets on missions for a department of the CIA known as the FIRM, from which she was stolen my her evil twisted creator Moffet. Hawke promises to return Airwolf to the FIRM only if his missing MIA brother Saint John (pronounced SinJin) is found. Stringfellow Hawke-(played by Jan-Michael Vincent) age 34 at the beginning of the show, is a reclusive loner, and excellent cellist. He was previously a test pilot of Airwolf before Moffet stole her and took her to Libya. Later employed by Michael Coldsmith Briggs III in return for a million dollars. Instead he promises to return Airwolf for the return of his brother who has been Missing in Action since Vietnam 14 years ago. Dominic Santini-(played by Ernest Borgnine) the surroate father of the Hawke brothers after their parents deaths in a boating accident. Dominic owns and operates Santini Air, an airservice business which also serves as a cover for their government work. Caitlin O'Shaunessy-(played by Jean Bruce Scott) a new character introduced at the beginning of the second season, Caitlin was a pilot for the Texas Highway Patrol until she was saved from the currupt sheriff by Hawke and Santini in Airwolf. Afterwards, she came to work at Santini Air and eventually became the third member of the Airwolf crew. Michael Coldsmith-Briggs III-  (played by Alex Cord) codename 'Archangel' deputy director of the FIRM, a covert governmanent agency involved in intelligence and spy work, that originally built Airwolf. He reminds himself and evyone else that he is on the good guys side by wearing an all white three piece suit usually (when he's not he's typically wearing white pants and a white sweater) and going about his business in his white limo or white Bell Jet Ranger along with his whiteclad assisstants. Marella-  (played by Deborah Pratt) in the first two seaons, Marella often shows up as Michael's senior aid.
